Grocery Gift Cards
Help TWS raise money by doing what you already do anyway.
Through our Loblaws Gift Card Porgram TWS raised $2200 last year. This year, we are expanding the program to include Planet Organic Markets. We also plan to get the word out more strongly, particularly to new families, that this is a really easy fundraiser to join since it’s money you might be spending anyway. Half of the funds will go towards the school for such things as the Tuition Adjustment program, building improvements and more. The rest will be divided by the 12 grades for their class funds (in accordance with the TWS fundraising policy). This is the easiest possible way to raise funds for the school and all the classes.
All you have to do is buy your gift cards from the school and shop at any Loblaws, No Frills, The Great Canadian Superstore, President’s Choice, Fortinos or at any Planet Organic Markets.
“How Does it Work?”
- Download and fill in the agreement, agreeing to purchase the amount of your choice (in multiples of $25, $50, $100, or $250). Attach a blank cheque
- Return the agreement to Catherine Daugherty, whose office is at the bottom of the stairs
- Once (and not until) the school possesses the cards, your account will be automatically debited (approximately the 15th of each month), making it safe and easy for you
- We will send you a reminder via e-mail and you pick up the cards at your leisure
“What Else Do I Need to Know?”
- You can change your agreement during the year to buy a higher or lower value of gift cards each month
- You can sign an agreement at any time, but will not be allowed to quit, rejoin, quit... although an exception will be made if you are switching all or part of your regular monthly amount to Planet Organic during 2008-9.
- The program will automatically continue (including through the summer) until you submit a written withdrawal to the Business Office (we will remind you in June)
- • Loblaws donates 3-5% of the value of the gift cards sold; Planet Organic donates 5% of the value of the gift cards sold
- Permission forms are available if you intend to have someone else pick up your cards for you (see Catherine)
