Rachel Aide, English and history teacher Rachel has a B.A. Hons. from Victoria University in the University of Toronto, and a B.Ed. (After Degree) from the University of Alberta. She has held teaching certification for both Alberta and Ontario, and is a graduate of the Waldorf teacher training at the Center for Anthroposophy in Wilton, New Hampshire. |

George Amzu, High school physical education teacher George has a B.Sc. from the University of Craiova in Romania, and an additional qualifications certificate in science teaching from York University; he has national coaching certification from the Coaching Association of Canada to level 1 in gymnastics and to level 2 in basketball. |

Ilse Black, Dandelion nursery teacher Ilse has a home economics diploma from the national Institute for Economic Professions in Graz, Austria, and completed the Waldorf teacher training education program at the Rudolf Steiner Centre Toronto. She has been teaching here since 1993, and before that provided home care for young children. She enjoys reading, tai chi and hiking. |

Leslie Black, Grade 7 teacher Les has a B.A. from Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec. He did teacher training at the Poulton-le-Fylde College of Education in Lancashire, England, and has been a member of the Ontario College of Teachers. He has completed the Spacial Dynamics in-service training at Sunbridge College in Spring Valley, New York. He taught elementary and middle-school children in Fort Frances, Ontario for seven years, and has been at TWS since 1983; he is currently taking his third class from Grade 1 to Grade 8. He helped create the TWS Diversacare program. |

Margaret Bleek, Lower school handwork, and support teacher Margaret has a B.A. from Smith College in Massachusetts, and an M.A. from Princeton University. She is a graduate of the Waldorf teacher education program at the Rudolf Steiner Center Toronto, and of the applied arts program at Sunbridge College in New York. She has a remedial certificate from the Association for a Healing Education. She has taught here since 1987. |

Heather Church, Birchgrove kindergarten teacher and Early Childhood Co-Chair Heather has a diploma from the Ontario College of Art and Design and a certificate in Waldorf early childhood education from Sunbridge College in Spring Valley, New York. Before that, she taught at the Huronia Waldorf School for five years, and has been at TWS since 2004. She recently completed her studies in "the child in the first three years" at Sophia's Hearth Family Center. |

Mary Jo Clark, Movement teacher Mary Jo has a Recreation Facility Management diploma from Seneca College in Toronto. She previously worked as an assistant teacher in the TWS early childhood programs form 1996 to 2002. She teaches movement in Grades 3 to 8 and circus arts in the high school; she also organizes the after-school sports programs in the middle and high school. She is a graduate of the Spacial Dynamics Institute and has her level 1 & 2 certification from the Basketball Coaching Association of Canada. |

D’Arcy Colby, Grade 3 teacher D’Arcy started out dancing. She trained at Toronto Dance Theatre and has an honours B.F.A. in Dance from York University. In 2005 she completed her Waldorf Teacher Certificate at the Rudolph Steiner Centre in Toronto, and then attained her Bachelor of Education which she completed at the University of British Columbia in 2000. She joined the Vancouver Waldorf School by stepping in to the Gr. 5 class in December 2001. She spent the following year as a specialist teacher, teaching games, movement and music in the lower school. She carried her first class at VWS from Gr. 4 through to Gr. 7. She is thrilled to be home with her extended family in Ontario and to be with us at TWS. |

Beth Currie, Cedar kindergarten teacher (on sabbatical) Beth attended St. Thomas University in New Brunswick, and completed the Waldorf teacher training education program at the Rudolf Steiner Centre Toronto. She has been teaching in the early childhood faculty since 1985. |

Susan Digby Susan has a B.A. from the University of Guelph, a B.Ed. from York University, and is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers. She has taught part-time at TWS since 1991and has been teaching here full-time since 2004. She is currently doing her in-service training at TWS. She has four sons. |

Eleonora Ebata, Grade 8 teacher Eleonora has a B.A. in music education from McMaster University and a B.Ed. from the University of Western Ontario. She taught in the York Region public school system for 20 years and has been teaching at TWS since 2005. She has two children in the school. |

Barbara Eriksson, Grade 6 teacher, and Lower School Chair Barbara completed two years of a B.A. at Eden Theological Seminary and at Webster University, both in St. Louis, Missouri, and one year of a remedial teaching certificate with the Association for a Healing Education in Royal Oak, Michigan. She is a graduate of the Waldorf teacher training education program at the Rudolf Steiner Centre Toronto. She has taught here since 2002. |

Michelle Frank, School counsellor, and Grade 10 class advisor Michelle has a B.A. from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, and Theraplay® therapist certification from the Theraplay® Institute in Chicago. She has worked full-time at TWS since 2000 ands has been a memebr of our therapeutic circle since 1998. Michelle has pioneered counselling work in Waldorf schools. |

Dianne Goldsmith, Cedar kindergarten teacher Dianne has a B.A. Hons. from the University of Toronto, and a B.Ed. from York University. After teaching in the Ontario public school system for 16 years, she discovered Waldorf education for her two sons, and in 1999 joined the staff of Toronto Waldorf School. Among her special interests is puppetry. She organizes the annual Gateways and Pathways conferences for TWS. |

Darlene Gregoire, Business Manager Darlene has a B.A. and is a 4th-level CMA graduate of York University. She joined TWS in 2004 and has previously worked in manufacturing, wholesale, multi-level marketing, recreational and non-profit organizations. She enjoys reading when there is a reprieve from raising her five daughters. |

Helene Gross, Mathematics teacher, and High School Chair Helene has a B.Sc. in mathematics and computer science from the University of South Africa. She completed Waldorf in-service training under the direction of Dr. Martin Levin at TWS in 1990. She has also completed courses at the Rudolf Steiner Centre Toronto, Sunbridge College in New York, and Rudolf Steiner College in California. She has taught high school mathematics since 1989, and has been a class teacher, taking one class for Grades 6 to 8, and another from Grade 1 to Grade 8. She returned to full-time high school mathematics teaching in 2003. Helene's three children attended Waldorf schools in Johannesburg, Chicago and Toronto from kindergarten through OAC. She was an active parent in all three schools, serving as class parent, parent association member, and board member. She was a member of the TWS board for eight years, and faculty chair for four years. |

Anna Gruda, Art teacher, After-care teacher, Yearbook teacher Anna is a graduate of Ontario College of Art and Design and the Rudolf Steiner Teacher Education program. She has taught the primary grades at Edgehill Country Waldorf School and has been the art specialist at the Alan Howard Waldorf School. She also works in the field of adult education at the Rudolf Steiner Centre and gives weekly painting workshops at Herperus Fellowship Community. Anna was the Arts Education and Workshop Co-ordinator at the Durham Art Gallery and was an active member of the vibrant community centred around Bio-dynamic farming and home grown culture. She is an exhibiting artist who loves to paint and ponder on all kinds of research topics. |
