Students also select some of the following additional courses to meet the Ontario Ministry of Education High School Diploma requirements, and to complete the Waldorf curriculum: French, German, drama, chemistry, physics, philosophy, Family Studies, Career Studies, civics, Business Studies, English as a Second Language (ESL), Health and Physical Education, art (drawing, basketry, woodwork, metal and clay sculpture, off-loom weaving, bookbinding, painting, metalwork, and visual arts), and performance (small ensemble singing, circus, guitar, drumming, theatre arts, orchestra, eurythmy, and Spatial Dynamics®). The selection of these options varies by grade.
In the first three years of High School there is also a work experience of two to three weeks in June. Grade 9 students work on an organic or biodynamic farm, Grade 10 in business and trade professions, and Grade 11 in social service professions. In Grade 12 this time is dedicated to staging a final play production.
