Ways to Give
To suit your interests and needs we have created a range of ways to support TWS. Whether you wish to give $25, $100, $500, $10,000 or more, or anything in between, here are ways you can support Toronto Waldorf School:
Annual Giving Campaign
Our Annual Giving Campaign helps bridge the gap between tuition income and total operating expenses. You can give by means of:
- Cash or cheque (payable to Toronto Waldorf School);
- Credit card (Visa or Mastercard); or
- Secured online site through CanadaHelps - no fees are incurred by the donor:

- Shopping with our partners - who will donate a portion of their revenue back to the school. Learn more
Gifts to TWS are allocated to the Annual Giving Campaign unless otherwise directed.
The TWS Wish List
Parents and friends sometimes want to direct their gifts toward a specific need that students, a class or the school can use daily. Please consider our Wish List for your gift.
A Gift of Securities
Donating a gift of stock or mutual funds you’ve owned more than a year can provide tax benefits. You receive a charitable donation receipt for the full market value of the stock and do not incurr taxes on capital gains . Since 2006, when capital gains taxes were eliminated on donations of publicly-traded securities, gifts of securities are the most tax-efficient way to make a charitable donation. They are also a great way for donors to make a greater impact with their gift. More details here
A Gift of Life Insurance
Giving a gift of life insurance is a fairly straightforward process. You can name us as the beneficiary or donate the life insurance policy to TWS. You benefit by receiving a charitable tax receipt for the lesser of the cash value of the policy or the total premiums paid. Contact Catherine Daugherty to discuss.
A Will Bequest
Naming TWS in your will or trust is one of the single most important ways you can create a lasting legacy and help the school achieve its mission in the future. You can name TWS as the direct beneficiary of a specific amount of money, of specific assets, or of a portion of your estate after other payments are made. After your lifetime, your estate is able to a take charitable tax deduction for the full amount of your gift. Contact Catherine Daugherty to discuss.
